This Policy explains what personal data we process in Amigos de Esperanza, why we use it, and your rights. It applies to amigosdeesperanza.global and related features (including Google Sign-In).
1. Controller
The data controller is Amigos de Esperanza.

2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may process:
Account data: name, email, profile photo, session identifiers.
Usage data: pages visited, path progress, preferences (language, theme), saved content.
Content you submit: prayer requests, companion messages, or other forms.
Technical data: device/browser type, approximate IP address, and security logs needed to operate the service.
3. Google Sign-In
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares basic profile information (such as name, email, and photo) according to the permission you grant.
We use that data only to authenticate you, maintain your session, display your profile, and protect the account.
We do not sell your Google data or use it for third-party personalized advertising.
4. Purposes of processing
We process data to: provide and improve the App; authenticate users; store preferences and progress; respond to prayer and companionship requests; prevent abuse and keep the service secure; meet legal obligations.
Legal bases may include performing the service you request, your consent (where applicable), or our legitimate interest in running a secure service.
5. Local storage and cookies
We use browser local storage (and similar technologies) for session, preferences, and language.
Necessary technical cookies may also be used.
You can clear local data in your browser or via Settings (forget profile / reset experience), depending on the feature.
6. Processors and disclosures
We may use providers that help us host, send email, or run infrastructure, under instructions and appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell personal data.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
7. Retention
We keep data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
Device-only data can be removed by clearing browser storage or using Settings options.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, objection, or restriction, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

If you use Google Sign-In, you can also manage permissions in your Google Account.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under the minimum digital consent age in your country (often 13).
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided data, contact us to review it.
10. Google API Services and Limited Use
Amigos de Esperanza’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This covers data obtained via Google Sign-In and, where applicable, YouTube or other Google APIs used to operate service features.
We do not use that data for personalized advertising or transfer it to third parties except as allowed by that policy and this Privacy Policy.
